Russia’s Rosneft says Gerhard Schroder worthy of bonuses

MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft thinks that former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder is worthy of a bonus for solution of large-scale and important tasks as the chairman of the company’s board of directors, a representative of the company told PRIME on Wednesday.

Rosneft shareholders elected Schroder as a member of the board and, consecutively, as its chairman in September 2017.

“Regardless of media reports about the bonuses paid to former Chancellor Gerhard Schroder, we think that a remuneration set and paid in accordance with the order procedures of Rosneft is due to him for the solution of large-scale tasks that are important for the wellbeing of the company set before the chairman of the board of directors,” the representative said.
